| Kargil girls excel in taekwondo | | | Early Times Report
KARGIL, June 16: In the just concluded state level inter-district taekwondo (girls' under-14, under-17 and under-19) championship at Srinagar, Kargil girls excelled with 14 medals, including 10 gold.
On their return, medal winners, the coaches and the parents were congratulated by Executive Councilor for Agriculture and Revenue LAHDC, Kargil Haji Ghulam Amir.
Speaking to the gathering he said that the focus should be on those games which have better prospects. To name a few, he mentioned that athletics, boxing, taekwondo and archery are the liked sports in Kargil.Among others present were District Youth Service and Sports Officer, Kargil, Haji Mirza Hussain and senior vice president of J&K Taekwondo Association, Gulzar Hussain Munshi. |
