Gufran T20: Kingfisher Jammu finds berth in final | | | Early Times Report
DODA, June 16: Kingfisher Cricket Club Jammu (KCCJ) registered a three wickets win over Friends Cricket Club Ghat (FCCG) to reach the final of the All India 8th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship underway at Sports Stadium, here today. Now, in the title clash, slated to be held on June 18, Kingfisher Club shall lock horns against Combine Bhaderwah. Earlier, in the second semifinal, played today, FCCG set a target of 198 runs for the loss of five wickets, which, in reply, KCCJ chased in 19.3 overs losing seven wickets. Vipan played brilliant innings of 88 runs while Shahdab Wani and Sapan contributed 28 and 19 runs respectively. From KFCC Jammu, Rohit took two wickets while Raman Dutta and Vishwajeet shared one each. Batting second, KCCJ chased the target in 19.3 overs with three wickets in hand. Parveen Singh was highest scorer with 53 runs while Manish Dogra and Jeet Pal added valuable 44 and 36 runs respectively. From FCC Ghat, Sapan was most successful bowler with four wickets while Bharat took two. Later, Parveen Singh of the winners KCCJ was declared man of the match. He was presented the cash prize and trophy by special guest, incharge Principal of GDC Doda, Prof Zaheer Abbas Hashmi. Today's semifinal was officiated by Sanjay Singh and Subhash Mathur as umpires while Shahid Bashir Pampori was scorer. |
