Employees observe strike, continue to protest against 'dictatorial' attitude of Govt | | | Early Times Report Jammu/Rajouri/Kishtwar , June 16: Various employees organizations under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of State Government employees continued to protest against the dictatorial approach towards employees demands and warned the government to implement the agreement agreed with employees without delay to avoid confrontation with the Employees. Continuing their protest the employees observed complete strike was observed in Jammu division and employees in response to the 'strike' called given by JCC. The union leaders of EJAC (Q,K,G) lodged protest demonstration in front of office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The JCC leaders condemned the negative attitude of state government towards the employees, besides non implement the agreement agreed by the government and use of police force against protesting employees. JCC leaders namely S Amrik Singh, Ravi Singh Bahu, Joginder Paul, Rajinder Kumar, Amrik Singh Sasan, Bashir Malik, Ravi Kumar, Bikram Jeet Singh, Gopal Singh, Darshan Sharma, Arun Moza, Molvi Munir Hussain, Uttam Chand Sharma ,Naresh Sharma and others warned the Govt. to immediate fulfill the demands including to make policy for Regularization of DRW's, Enhancing Retirement age, removal of pay anomalies and budgetary support to PSU to implement the 6th Pay commission etc. Besides protest in various department in Jammu in response to call of JCC, the All J&K Non Gazetted Forest Officers Association and J&K Forest Ministerial Staff observed complete Pen Down Kam Chodo Hartal under the leadership of Sheikh Zaferullah President All J&K NGFOA and S Sukhbir Singh Sudan, President J&K Forest Ministerial Staff Association. The Forest employees held protest demonstration in Forest Complex Dogra Hall Jammu in support of their legitimate demands. However the Forest Check Post Staff and Staff posted on fire fighting is exempted from the today's strike. Our Rajouri correspondent adds : The protesting employees under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) today in Rajouri appealed Human Rights (HR) organizations and crusaders to come in support to state government employees and to voice against state government which is using force against peaceful protests of employees. Members of this employees organization in a communication to Human Rights (HR) organizations from Rajouri asked the con concerned to take up the genuine issues of employees to the state government for early redressal. Meanwhile the employees in a meeting held here announced full participation in ongoing strike of employees and condemned the police action against employees terming it that state government is trying to depress us by using police force. Led by JCC State body member Tanveer Shawl and others the employees leaders urged cadre to join this strike with full strength and will do or die for fulfillment of their demands which as per them are genuine ones and need immediate redressal. They also assured support to stir as announced by JCC from June 19. Our Kishtwar correspondent adds : In response to the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) call of pen down stir the state government employees in Kishtwar under the leadership of its President Syed Zakir Hussain also observed strike in Kishtwar and also observed a 'sit in' dharna at Shahidi Mazar Kishtwar. Employees from various departments under their respective unions participated in a protest and further pledged to continue their agitation till their demands could not be meted out.Later the agitating employees called on Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Saleem Mohammad and handed over a copy of memorandum of demands to him. |
