| Pak again violates ceasefire in Krishna Ghati sector | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 17: Pakistan once again fired on Indian posts on Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati Sector last night, without any provocation from the Indian side.
The heavy automatic and small arms fire, which commenced last night at about 10:15 pm, was simultaneously opened from at least 12 different Pakistan posts.
Later, at about 11:15 pm, Pakistan troops also opened mortars in the same area and fired a large number of high explosive rounds on Indian posts. The firing continued till around 12:30 am.
Indian troops exercised utmost restraint in response to Pakistan firing and retaliated with controlled but effective fire. The Indian Army continues to maintain a high level of alert all along the LC. |
