| Women among 5 arrested, live grenade recovered | | | Kulgam, Feb 01
Police today claimed to have recovered a live grenade from a Tata sumo at Chawalgam area of Kulgam in south Kashmir.
Police sources told News Agency of Kashmir that police intercepts a Tata Sumo during a routine checking near village Chawalgam area of Kulgam.
During search police recovered a live hand grenade under the driver’s seat. Five passengers including the driver were immediately taken into custody, sources said adding that a women who on board was also arrested in full view of the public at Chawalgam.
The passenger sumo bearing temporary number was on way to Kulgam from D H Pora. The initial formalities including the seizure memo etc were completed on the spot in front of the civilians.
