Panthers party demands reorganisation of JK | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 19 : Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today demanded reorganisation of the state, saying the ruling NC-Congress combine was meting out step motherly treatment to Jammu region on various fronts. "NC-led government is discriminating against Jammu region... particularly to the migrants...To end this discrimination, we demand reorganisation of the state," JKNPP chief Bhim Singh told reporters here today. He accused the government of defying a Supreme Court order of paying Rs 21 crore relief to migrants in Jammu region. However, the government is paying relief amount and giving ration to migrants in Kashmir for the past 20 years, he said. The government is discriminating against Jammu region also in the area of power and water supply, the JKNPP chief said, demanding separate legislature, civil secretariat and budgets for Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh regions. |
