Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 14 animals recovered

RAJOURI, June 19: In its ongoing campaign against illegal smuggling of bovines, Rajouri police has foiled a bid of smuggling of bovine with the arrest of three persons and rescued 14 animals from their possession in two different incidents.
Police has registered two separate FIRs in at respective Police Stations.
As per police sources a special naka was today laid by Rajouri police on Jamola bridge during which police interrupted a Tata mobile carrying bovine animals for smuggling while on the other hand some more animals were recovered by police which were being smuggled through some other routes by foot. "On a whole police has recovered three people in this regard one of whom has been identified as Ghulam Rabani.
Two separate cases haste been registered by police against FIR number 309 and 311 under section 188 RPC, police sources added.
