| Beauty parlour course commences | | | JAMMU, February 01
A two month long beauty parlour course for adolescent girls commenced at Vimal Vidyalay Akalpur in Jammu which was organized by ICDS Project Marh on the instructions of Director Social Welfare Mr. Satish Nehru Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project Marh Mrs. Kanchan Bala inaugurated the course.
Speaking on the occasion, she stressed upon the girls to make full use of this innovative course. She told that the scheme has been successfully launched with the efforts and keen interest taken by Director Social Welfare. She further added that the aim of this course is to provide a healthy environment to the undergoing trainees and exposure.
Later, supervisors of the project also spoke on the functioning of ICDS and highlighted social evils, personal hygiene, health and nutrition.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the trainees.
