| Soz carries out extensive tour of city | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 19 : Former Union Minister & President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Prof. Saifuddin Soz extensively toured the Srinagar district on Tuesday. He toured areas which includeNowgam, Panthachowk, Khonmoh, Saida Kadal Ashai Bagh, Rangpora(Buchpora), Alamgari Bazar (Zadibal) Lal Bazar, Saidapora, Wantpora, Sekidafar and Iddgah.
Soz was accompanied by Khem Lata Wakhloo Chairman Social Welfare Board, Indu Pawar MLA President Mahila Congress, Abdul Gani Khan District President, Shameema Raina Vice President Mahila Congress and Shameema Sopori Gen Secretary Mahila Congress. He spoke to people at various places, met delegations and took note of the problems faced by the people in respect of roads, drinking water, drainage, development of Sports Fields, Parks and sanitation. He assured people that he would invest considerable time to get these problems solved as early as possible. At Zadibal people made a passionate appeal to him for restoration of Khushal Sar. Prof. Soz responded very positively and told people that he would join their movement for conservation of Khushal Sar.People of Lal Bazar area demanded that the Achan Garbage Dump be moved to a place not hazardous to human health. People explained with great enthusiasm that the dump was causing various diseases to the people who live in this area.Prof. Soz assured them that he would discuss the problem with Municipal Authorities and will get this dump shifted to a proper place. |
