On the directions of Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Udhampur, Mr. M. L. Manhas, a Legal Services Awareness Camp was organized at Village Sanal in Tehsil Udhampur.
Naib Tehsildar, Naib Sarpanch, Numbardar, Headmistress, Government Midle School, Sanal, local Chowkidar, members of Panchayat Sanal and people in large number attended the camp.
Lawyers of Udhampur Bar, Miss Rajni Sharma, Miss Anitya Mehta and Junior Legal Assistants of Tehsil and District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, Mrs. Ritu Sharma, Mr. Ashwani Kumar and Mr. |Ghulam Mohammad made the people aware of the legal aid scheme and concept of Lok Adalats and the benefits available to people who could not afford in contesting their cases pending in the courts.

PDD launches extensive drive against defaulters
UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 01 (INFO) –Assistant Executive Engineer, Electric Maintenance & RE Division Udhampur Mr. A K Chhiber assisted by Assistant Engineer Mr. R K Daabgotra and field staff conducted surprise checking in Adarsh Colony, Udhampur and Garhi area, disconnected 20 power supply connections which were found to be defaulters. The Department has asked the defaulters to immediately deposit the arrears of power tariff if they want to get reconnected.
According to Executive Engineer, Electric Maintenance & R. E Division Udhampur, Mr. S K Kakroo, the drive of the department against the defaulters and illegal connections would continue till all the connections are regularized.
