| Summer Premier League U-16 Cricket 8Royal XI, Desi Rock Star win ties | | | early times report
JAMMU, June 19: Royal XI and Desi Rock Star won their respective matches to consolidate their positions in the ongoing Summer Premier League under-16 cricket tournament at Green Field ground, here today.
In the first match, Royal XI defeated Devils King by 15 runs. Batting first, Royal XI bowled out for 86 runs. Shuban and Ankush were main scorers with 29 and 13 runs in their respective accounts. From Devils King, Vishal and Pankaj took three wickets each while Arindham and Pintu shared apiece each.
Later, Devils King failed to attain the goal losing all their wickets for 71 runs in 14 overs. Achut and Vipin contributed 15 and 13 runs respectively. Aryan bagged two wickets while Ankush, Ishan and Shuban shared two wickets each from Royal XI.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Desi Rock Star registered a two wickets win over Nightmare Club. Earlier, Nightmare set a target of 71 runs losing all their wickets in 14 overs of the 15 overs game. In reply, Devi Rock Star achieved the total in 11 overs losing eight wickets.
Achut and Mohit contributed highest 19 and 15 runs respectively for the winners. From Nightmare Club, Vishu, Manik, Adeshwar and Adesh took two wickets each.
Earlier, in a match played yesterday, United Cricket Club lost to Super Challengers Club by 28 runs. Batting first, Super Challengers made 94 runs, which, in reply, United Club could not chase and bowled out for 66 runs in 11 overs. |
