26 students of Urdu Deptt, JU qualify NET/JRF exams | | | early times report JAMMU, June 19: Department of Urdu, University of Jammu added another feather to its cap when its 26 students were declared qualified for NET and JRF examinations. Those who qualified NET and JRF included Saleem Ahmed, Chiman Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sunil Kumar and others. The Vice Chancellor of Jammu University Prof MP Singh Ishar has congratulated the students and department of Urdu for this grand success. A scholar Saleem Ahmed, who has qualified the JRF, said that the credit goes to the present HOD Urdu Prof Shohab Inayat Malik who not only inspired us for this prestigious examination but also organized very meaningful extension lectures from the external experts during the last three years. Not only this, he also organized a number of seminars by which we got latest information regarding Urdu language and literature. These extension lectures and seminars were the source due to which we could qualify the examination, Ahmed added. Chiman Singh said that there is a great academic atmosphere in the department. We are not only being taught books but the literary activities which are being organized in the department are great source of inspiration for qualifying this test. The HOD Urdu Prof Shohab Inayat Malik and faculty members included Prof Sukhchain Singh, Dr Mohd Reyaz Ahmed, Dr Chaman Lal, Dr A R Manhas, Dr Farat Shamim too has congratulated students for their great success and hoped that in near future more and more students would qualify these prestigious exams. |
