| DDC inspects pace on sewerage works | | | early times

jammu, June 19: District Development Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma conducted an extensive tour of Jammu city and inspected the pace on various ongoing works of sewerage taken up under ADB Loan II through ERA. Accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, SE R&B, Project Manager ERA, Jt. Commissioner Works, JMC, XEN PHE, PDD and other senior functionaries of concerned departments, Verma visited Shakti Nagar, Shamshan Ghat road, Bakshi Nagar road, New Plot road, other link roads where sewerage pipe laying works is under progress.
Verma asked the ERA to expedite work as any delay in completion would cause inconvenience to the general public . He also directed that all the quality tests of compaction of road position (400 metres) be completed on Shakti Nagar AG Office, Shamshan Ghat road, and after making the chamber of road the same was handed over to the PWD for premixing within a week's time. He also called for early restoration of damaged road at Bakshi Nagar so that grouting of road was completed by the R&B within two days.
While inspecting tiling work in the lateral lanes, it was exhorted upon the ERA to ensure quality work so that no further problem is faced by the JMC in its maintenance. DDC stressed upon ERA to redouble its efforts to complete all the ongoing sewerage works in Jammu city in a stipulated time frame for the convenience of the people. |
