BSF jawan killed due to lightening near LoC | | | early times report Srinagar, June 20 : A Border Security Force jawan, a resident of West Bengal, was killed due to lightening near the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector. A BSF spokesman said here today that constable Zinarul Sheikh of 126 batallion BSF was on routine guard duty in a forward post near LoC in Keran sector when suddenly a lightening struck on June 18 night.Sheikh, a resident of Murshidabad, West Bengal was hit in the face and died instantly, spokesman said adding the body was brought here yesterday. He said senior officers of the BSF laid paid floral tributes to mortal remains of constable Sheikh at STC Humhama in the central Kashmir district of Badgam. The body was being flown to Delhi from where it will be sent to his native village for last rites.
