| PSSF highlights issues pertaining to Pahari community | | | early times report
jammu, June 20: Pahari Students Samaj Front (PSSF) today highlighted various issues pertaining to the Pahari community particularly Schedule Tribe Status to the downtroden community. The speakers demanded from the state government to construct Pahari Hostel and Pahari Bhawan at Ban Talab and further sanction Pahari Hostel for girl students one each in Jammu and Kashmir .
In a press conference held here today Pahari Student Samaj Front, state spokesperson, Syed Zeshan Haider said that Pahari speaking students are suffering a lot due to the callous attitude of the authorities. He appealed to the state Government to construct already sanctioned Pahari hostel and Pahari Bhawan at Bantalab to uplift the deprived community and further sanction Pahari Hostel for girl students in each province. He further said that Government should stop playing with the sentiments of the masses residing in twin border Districts Poonch-Rajouri far flung areas of the State. Zeshan appealed to the ruling Government that Jammu University Poonch campus Should be made functional as soon as possible, student community is facing a lot of problems due to lack of educational institutions in Poonch and government should initiate PG courses in Degree College Poonch for the betterment of ignored community students. Among others who were present on the occasion include Syed Mahir Shah, Nitan Sharma, Vinod Bakshi, Harsimran Singh, Rahul Manmar, Basharat Malik and others. |
