| Dagger Division organises mega cultural event | | | early times report
BARAMULLA, June 20: Dagger Division inaugurated the exquisite Motor Cycle display and Cultural programme at Jhelum Stadium, Baramulla today to showcase various cultures of the country to the local population of J&K.
The occasion was attended by Army and civil administration officials of Baramulla Distt. DIG Police, DC Baramulla, SSP Baramulla and other civil dignitaries were present.
A huge gathering of Sarpa-nches, Panches, Numberdars, Ex-servicemen and students were present to enjoy the mega event. The event was aimed at promoting a feeling of "Trust and Togetherness" in the minds of younger generation of the Valley. Beside motor cycle display by tornadoes and AGS school, various cultural programs organised during this gala event included performance by local classical troupe, Naga Dance, Bhangra, Army & Police Band display etc. The highlight of the program was the dare devilry act by a team of "TORNADOES" on their motor cycles which was fancied by both elders and children. While speaking on the occasion Maj Gen Bipin Rawat, GOC, Dagger Division tha-nked the people of Baramulla Distt for their overwhelming response and applauded their continued co-operation with Army. He stressed upon the symbiotic relationship between the 'AWAM and JAWAN'. |
