jammu, June 20 :Some prominent persons from Bishnah and R S Pura assembly segments today joined Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in the presence of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Prominent among those who joined PDP from Bishnah included Dr. Joginder Pal Sharma, (retired Dy Director Animal Husbandry), Tilak Raj, Jaswant Singh, Prem Nath Sharma, Surinder Sharma, S Bhajan Singh, Jangi Lal, Umar Din, Des Raj, Prem Pal, Rahul Kesar, Bodhi Raj, Prem Dogra, Mohammed Afzal, Girdhari Lal and Harbans Lal.
Des Raj, Harbans Lal, Prem Dagotra, Charan Dass, Ashok Kumar, Vicky Kumar, Mohammed Afzal, Ranjit Singh and Om Parkash from R S Pura also joined PDP. PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed while welcoming them into the party fold, called upon the new entrants to spread message of the party.
He said that PDP was not a political party but a movement to change destiny of the people. He hoped that with the joining of such a large number of people, PDP would be strengthened in Bishnah and R S Pura areas. |
