6400 fruit plants distributed among BPL SC/ST beneficiaries in Panchari

UDHAMPUR, FEB 01
Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Mr Khurshid Ahmed Bhat during his tour of block Panchari distributed 6400 fruit plants of different species among the Below Poverty Like beneficiaries hailing from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories under Sampooran Gramin Rozgar Yojna (SGRY) to substantiate their income.
The plants distributed included 4000 walnut, 1600 apple and 800 apricot which would cover 1050 kanal area in the block. The cost of digging of pits would also be borne by the Rural Development Department, the Additional District Development Commissioner added. An amount of Rs 90,000 is being involved as cost of these fruit plants which have been distributed among the individual beneficiaries.
Block Development Officer, Panchari was also present on the occasion.
