Hike in PM's rehabilitation package a lollypop: KPC | | | Early Times Report NEW DELHI, June 21: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while reacting over the recent recommendations of State Government for hike in KP's PM rehabilitation Package to the Centre, stated that KP community in general has already rejected it categorically which is linked with return of KPs to the previous locations in the valley. In a meeting with his party activists and supporters at New Delhi today, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri said that these recommendations of the state Government is nothing but a wasteful exercise and lollypop to the KP Community to lure them for the return without considering their basic demands and honouring their wishes and aspirations. KPC Chief further stated that rehabilitation of KP's in valley after 22 years is a wider issue which political masters failed to conceive and merely declaring its monetary compensation, ignoring political, social, religious and other factors, can not serve the purpose. He said that KP's rehabilitation needs to be looked at from political as well as humanitarian angle. Kundan Kashmiri further lambasted state government for delaying in passing the KP's temple and shine bill as assured by Chief Minister of J&K state a few months back. He also expressed full faith and hope for the fulfilment of all of their genuine demands submitted before the President of India by KP delegation under the banner of KPC on June 15. |
