Abducted girl rescued by police | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Kishtwar Police rescued an abducted girl from village Prawara Tagood in the wee hours of today.According to police sources, a written complaint was lodged by one Sham Lal of Hai Tagood yesterday in Police Post Mughal Maidan that his daughter identified as Anita Devi, age about 22 years was kidnapped by one Babu Ram son of Munshi Ram of Hai Tagood, who is a married person and having two sons and one daughter. In this regard, a case against FIR No. 37/2012 under sections 366, 109 RPC was registered at P/S Chatroo. In order to recover the kidnapped girl, a special team was constituted by District SP Kishtwar under the supervision of Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, DySP DAR DPL Kishtwar, who is the Supervisory officer of P/S Chatroo and various raids were conducted by a Police team headed by SHO P/S Chatroo. After making hectic efforts and by professional approach, the abducted girl was recovered from village Prawara Tagood on the intervening night of June 20 and 21. After recovering the girl, the police later brought her at District Hospital Kishtwar for medical examination where she delivered a male baby. The arrest of accused is expected shortly as the police is making effort for his arrest. The people of the area have appreciated the role of Police for timely action. |
