Displaced KP youth terms Cabinet meeting a flop show | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Sanjay Koul in which the number of unemployed KP youth participated and described yesterday's cabinet meeting a flop show. Koul in the meeting said that unemployed KP, youths were awaiting the decision regarding their demands, especially the 1732 vacant posts in which 800 de-reserved and 932 as non-joining posts had no discussion and decision in the cabinet meeting. He said that we are getting very surprised that Revenue department has been given direction to work out an employment package for non-migrants. Koul further said that if Govt is so worried about the non-migrants they should have to approve package beyond 6000 posts and they had got employment already in the first component of 3000 posts. Addressing the meeting, SA Talashi questioned the intentions of Govt and asked why it fail to implement the employment package specially 1732 posts when consent and approvals are lying in CM's office and funds are already available for these posts. Talashi ridiculed the tall claims of the Govt regarding employment package and said till date only less than 50% posts had get filled in which, 15% posts were filled by Sikhs and non-migrants, 8% were filled by Muslim migrants and, only 27 % were filled by KP migrants who are first victims of militancy. |
