NSS team returns from Mega camp at Vishakhapatnam | | | early times report jammu, June 21: A contingent of 11 NSS volunteers along with one contingent incharge from the University of Jammu returned back after attending the NSS Summer Mega Camp from 6th June 2012 to 17th June 2012 organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, New Delhi and NSS Regional Centre, Hyderabad in association with NSS cell of Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam (And-hra Pradesh). The volunteers were received by Dr. Vishav Raksha, Programme Coordinator, NSS, University of Jam-mu. She congratulated the volunteers won prizes in various competitions held during the camp. These volunteers were selected from different colleges. These NSS volunteers interacted with about 400 NSS volunteers from other states of India. The volunteers were very happy as they experienced cultural exchange and displayed their own Dogra culture in the camp. The volunteers disclosed that the Camp was an enriching experience for them to know about the culture of other states. Puja Sharma won 2nd prize in Solo Song and Bharti Sharma won 2nd prize in poem and slogan writing respectively. Jeevan Jyoti won 3rd price in essay writing. Virnda Sharma, Prof. chaman Thakur NSS Prog-ramme Officer and Abishak Sharma won 1st prize in frog Jump and quiz competition respectively. Shiv dutt Sharma and. Nancy Sharma took part in frog Jump and Running. Chaman Thakur Programme Officer, Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Education Rajbagh, Kathua was the contingent incharge. The entire team thanked Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice- Chancellor, University of Jammu for giving them an opportunity to interact with the students from other parts of the country in this summer mega camp.
