| Anti -flood measures discussed at Basohli | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 22 : Sub divisional magistrate, Basohli (SDM) Ashok Sharma convened anti-flood measure meeting with the officer of various department at PWD rest house today.
SDM said that a control room will be established at police station Basohli to Monitor the situation and maintain coordination among the various departments during monsoons. Sharma directed the officers to aware the masses to follow the precautions to deal with any adversity. It was decided in the meeting that four monitoring committees headed by tehsildar will monitor the situation during the rainy season.
SDM impressed upon the officers of revenue department to ensure the rehabilitation of affected families in case of any eventuality.
He exhorted upon the revenue officers to make close coordination with heads of educational institutions and other line departments to make accommodation readily available in case of emergency.
Sharma also passed instructions to the officers of health department to make necessary arrangements with regard to medicines, hygiene and sanitation in the Tehsil, further directed tehsil supply officer to stock adequate ration in the ration stores in the vicinity of the vulnerable spots to meet the requirements in case any emergency. Tehsildar, Basohli, SDPO Basohli, block and tehsil level officers also attended the meeting. |
