Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 22 : Expressing serious concern and displeasure over the recommendations of the state government to the central government regarding the return and rehabilitation of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits, Panun Kashmir has said the whole exercise appeared to be aimed at re-cheating the victims of the genocide.
While explaining the position of Panun Kashmir on the issue, Kuldeep Raina, General secretary of the organization said," This is a tactic to downplay the human rights violation of the religiously cleansed KPs who were subjected to the genocide and holocaust by the theo-fascist and communal forces who are waging a war against the Indian nation for the last 23 years and the Kashmiri Pandits were the frontline victims of this communal onslaught meant to dislodge the Indian nation in Kashmir." He further said," Kashmiri Pandits are not the victims of the natural calamities like flood, earthquakes etc but the victims of communalism and terrorism. The Return and rehabilitation of the ethnically cleansed Kashmiri Pandits is not possible till the core issue of their genocide is not addressed. The rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir in the present scenario is not possible when the social structure has been Talibanised and has been turned into the hate India machinery. Kashmiri pandits were thrown out by the forces who rejected co-existence and wanted to turn Kashmir into a Sharia controlled fascist society. By making this package to look as if the community was the victim of natural calamities and not the victim of Muslim separatism and communalism, the government is trivializing the genocide of the community and bailing out its persecutors."
He said, the reversal of genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri Pandits is only possible by carving out the separate homeland for the Kashmiri pandits in Kashmir with the free flow of the Indian constitution as envisaged in the Margdarshan Resolution unanimously passed by the Kashmiri Pandit community in 1991 and all other moves are meant to divert the attention of the masses from the core issue of genocide." Kuldeep Raina while commenting on the increase of cash assistance to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits said that it should be enhanced to Rs 15000 instead of Rs 10000 keeping in view the market situation and inflation. He further said," the government should attach all the youth posted as per the PM's employment package in Jammu keeping in view their dismal condition and social scenario prevalent in the valley, the case of female employees is the cause of great concern to the community Panun Kashmir demands that the remaining 3000 jobs that have to be announced by the government should be created in the central services as the number of KP is dwindling in the services.
He also announced that Daya Krishen Kaul will be the Vice-chairman of Panun Kashmir and Bal ji Marhatta and Vinod Raina have been appointed as secretaries by the organizational consensus to streamline the oragnisational work.
