Two day National level seminar Sponsored by NAAC was organized in the Govt. College of women Gandhi Nagar. The seminar was organized on the topic” Dynamism in Higher Education: Towards Quality Excellence”.
The function was inaugurated with sarasvati vandana. The lighting of ceremonial lamp was done by chief guest Rigzin Zora Hon’ble Minister for Power. The other dignitaries present on this occasion were Prof.VeenaGupta Principal, Dr. N. D. Wani Director colleges, Prof. Narendra Bansal Vice Chancellor S.M.V.D.U, Prof. Hemla Aggarwal Convenor IQAC
There will be four technical sessions in the seminar. In the first technical Session, the chairperson was Prof.G.D. Sharma Director Consortium for Educational Communication University Grants Commission. The panelist were Prof. Poonam Dhawan Director Continuing Education University of Jammu, Prof.sarala kohli, Retd. Principal, Prof. Rita Munshi Retd. Principal.
The topic Teaching of English: A potential area of innovation for excellence in higher education was presented by sudhir Singh faculty in English G.C.W. Udhampur, Communication and soft skill as a means of entrepreneurship was presented by sandhya Bharadwaj Govt. M.A.M. College Jammu, Dr. Yudh Vir Singh G.D.C. Ram Nagar presented paper on the topic effective teaching in higher education while the last presentation of technical session first was presented by Sadaf Bashir department of Geology GCW M.A. Road, Srinagar paper on the topic effective teaching in higher education.
In the second technical session the chairperson was Professor B.P Sehgal Dean Academic affairs university of Jammu. The panelist were Professor Chanchal Dogra retired principal, Professor Kiran Bakshi retired principal,, Prof. Vijay Lakshmi retired principal. Dr. Chander Shekhar presented first paper on topic Effective teaching in higher education, Dr. Ashok Kumar GGM Science College, Jammu presented paper on topic Innovation creates scope for new enterprise, Dr. Ajit Angral Sl.Gr. Lecturer dept. of commerce of management studies, SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, Need for healthy teacher-student relationship in higher education-a quality sustenance initiative was presented by Ranjeet Singh Jamwal Sl. GR Lecture in Chemistry GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. While effective teaching in higher education was the topic presented by Dr. Peerzada Maqsood Ahmed Lect. In Arabic GDC boys, Anantnag and Prof. PK Koul Principal GDC Kishtwar.
