Gangster held with kirch

JAMMU, June 22 : A gangster of Munna gang having an intention to eliminate his rival, was arrested by Gangyal police and during his personalfrisking police recovered a Kirch- a sharpedged weapon from his possession, police sources said.
Police sources said that the trap was made by SHO Gangyal Police Station, Manjeet Singh when the accused was going to kill his rival Biny of Resham Ghar Colony.
Based on specific input by police sources about the movement of a hardcore criminal namely Sourabh Gupta alias Shami son of Bansi Lal Gupta of Nanak Nagar was on ill move to eliminate his rival and accordingly a trap was laid.
Sources said that the criminal was wanted in dozen of heinous crime activities in Jammu for which the cases stand registered at Satwari,Gandhi Nagar,Pacca Danga and Gangyal Police stations and a hunt was on to arrest the accused for the past quite some time.
Pertinently the criminal was slapped Public Safety ACT (PSA) by the Samba authorities. His interrogation is in progress to get more information from him, source added.
