Omar should repeat his Srinagar act in Jammu
‘CM could feel pain by night stay without power’

early times report
Jammu, June 23: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah representing all three-regions should repeat what he did in Srinagar during winters. The CM last year ordered cutting off the supply of his residence and other official bunglows when Srinagar was witnessing power cuts in nights.
He had then given logic, quite sensible, that when ordinary person are reeling under power cuts he shouldn't be exception.
Bu the same logic, Omar Abdullah must come to Jammu at this time. He should stay here for a single day with power cuts and should feel the pain and agony of the people.
Infact, this advise was given to him by PDP when he generated debate about Durbar move.
"Omar should move to Srinagar in winters and to Jammu in summers to get feel of the place," PDP spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar had said.
In fact Omar will get the hang of sufferings of people here, who till now has not stayed in Jammu for a single night after Durbar moved to Srinagar.
A single night with regular supply only after 1 pm will make him understand that un-substantiated facts on twitter do not go well with the people.
It becomes more imperative for the CM to do so as he is having additional job of power ministry. He must come and take a survey and analyse the faults and factors resulting in such power cuts.
The CM, without resorting to sermonizing, should personally visit and audit the load of industrial houses and check out how much revenue they are paying. He can easily do as industrial ministry is also with the National Conference.
This simple act will not only make him understand the ground reality rather than giving lectures to IAS officers and talking about Ballon ride at Boulevard when things are really Hot Ballon in plains of Jammu region, which account of more power revenue.
