| IGP HG reviews Yatra arrangements | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 24 : A meeting of civil defence senior wardens has been held under the chairmanship of Yoginder Koul, Inspector General of Police HG / CD & SDRF, in the conference hall RCDCC Jammu. Dushyant Sharma Dy.SP, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu were also present on the occasion. The main aim of this meeting was to review the arrangements for Amar Nath Ji Yatra duty - 2012 which is being commencing w.e.f. 25-06-2012 and other Civil Defence activities. A large number of Civil Defence Wardens including Shri Jugal Mahajan, Chief Warden CD Town, Jammu, Shri Vinod Malhotra, Dy. Chief Warden CD Town, Jammu, Shri Paramjit Kumar Dy Chief Warden, Jia Lal Sharma Divisional Warden, Smt.Kanta Bhan Divisional Warden, Dr.Rajinder Thapha Dy. Divisional Warden were present on the occasion. The wardens have been requested by the Inspector General of Police HG/CD & SDRF J&K that the Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers shall assist the local police in order to make the Yatra more successful in which a large number of pilgrims from all over the India shall participate. Besides the services of CD wardens / volunteers shall be utilized in Jammu city in different places like Railways Station, Bus Stand, Airport & Yatra Bhawan Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu etc. The Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers on duty shall wear CD Jackets & Caps. Moreover, 05 days Basic Civil Defence Training Programme inaugurated at Govt. High School Resham Ghar Colony Jammu on 23-6-2012 at 0900 hours by Sh. Dushyant Sharma Dy.SP Dy Controller CD Jammu under the close supervision of Inspector General of Police, HG / CD & SDRF, J&K. The Chief Guest speaking on the occasion that highlighted / appreciated the role of Civil Defence during emergency, he also briefed the CD Wardens / Volunteers to remain alert during Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra days. |
