Kishtwar Police apprehend cheats | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 24:- Kishtwar police today apprehended two Bihar based cheats for looting gold of house wives on the pretext of washing/cleaning gold and silver ornaments. According to Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary, Kishtwar police acting on a complaint of Tahir Hussain Saroori in which he complained that two Bihari youths visited his house for cleaning gold item. Police said that after washing the gold items, the victim family observed that the gold items lost the weight and in the mean time, both the youths manage to escape. After weighing the gold items, the victim observed that instead of 72 grams of gold, its weight had reduces to half. Chowdhary said that after receiving the complaint, Kishtwar police party led by SHO police station Kishtwar Mushtaq Ahmed swung into action and mange to arrest both the accuse near Drabshala while they tried to flee from Kishtwar. He said that Kishtwar police registered FIR under relevant sections of law and started its investigation. Mr. Chowdhary urged the people not to fall prey to such elements. "In case you find any such person visiting your house in Kishtwar town and its periphery please contact police." Chowdhary said. He said that after registration of FIR, both the accused were produced before judicial magistrate who granted 7 days police remand of the both the accuse. |
