| Ex-servicemen rally organized by 1RR in Anantnag | | | ANANTNAG, June 24: An Ex-servicemen Rally was organized here today by 1 RR, under the aegis of 1 Sect RR in which large number of Ex Army Personnel participated.
The rally was inaugurated by Col J Nair, who addressed the gathering and reiterated the importance and role of Ex-servicemen in nation building. The rally was marked by the presence of various stalls set up by Records JAKLI, Ex-servicemen Welfare Organisation, DPDO, Medical APO and other facilities. The rally was an effort by the Army authorities to create a bridge between the ex servicemen and the civil administration to facilitate the ex-servicemen in solving their problems. It was also organised to provide a platform for the Ex-servicemen to project the problems to both the service and the civil administration. More than 300 Ex servicemen had benefited from the Ex-servicemen Rally and thanked the organisers for the venture. They also expressed their desire for more such rallies for the benefit of the Ex servicemen and their family members. The rally culminated with the presentation of memento to the veer naries in recognition of their extreme sacrifice given for the country. |
