| Army, Dr. Reddy's lab organised free medical camp | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, June 24: Dr. Reddy's medical lab Hyderabad and 63 Rashtriya Rifles unit with active support of Department of Health today organised a free multi speciality medical check up camp in Kalakote area of Rajouri which is regarded as one of the backward belt in the district.
Along with medical check and treatment of people free medicines were also distributed among them while six physically challenged were given wheel chairs. As per details one of the renowned name in the field of medical science Dr. Reddy's lab and 63 RR with the assistance of Department of Health today organised a free multi speciality medical camp in Community Health Centre Kalakote which was first of its kind in this backward area. In the camp more than 1000 patients were treated out of which about three hundred were given specialist treatment. The army also provided free to and fro transport from interior areas of this backward belt to ensure full benefit to them. In this camp expert doctors of army and health department were present while specialist doctors from Jammu and other areas took special part in this. Along with free check up and other facilities like free sugar test, free eye check etc medicines were also provided among locals by army, medical department and especially by Dr. Reddy's lab.
On the other hand six wheel chairs to needy handicapped people were donated by Dr. Reddy's lab. Those who were donated these chairs are Mohd Kadir 6 yr, Jatveer Singh 17, Keval Krishan 26, Mohd Shabir 9, Sanno Devi 32, Ramesh Devi 25. Some senior citizens and officials of the area including Vyapar Mandal President Vijay Suri, local Sarpanch Ashok Sharma and others.
Later addressing during this camp Commanding Officer 63 RR Col. DD Swain and personnel from Dr. Reddy's Lab thanked people for their active support in making this camp a successful one. |
