Kishtwar police now doing municipality’s job | | | Early Times report
KISHTWAR, June 24: In order to avoid any kind of tragedy like the incident of death of a small girl Mahi in Maniser (Haryana), Kishtwar police sounded alert and has strongly taken up the matter with authorities of PHE and Hydraulics Division Kishtwar to immediately take all preventive measures to cover all uncapped and open bore wells. Locals have also been advised to cover pit holes and septic, storage tanks in tehsil Kishtwar especially Kishtwar town. Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary has asked Executive Engineer PHE & Hydraulics to provide him details of all uncapped and open bore wells, pit holes and septic, storage tanks in tehsil Kishtwar. Police authorities have also asked the Executive Engineer to submit the details of approved proposal for the constructions of bore wells in the Kishtwar town in the current year. Meanwhile the police has informed the general public to immediately intimate police if they found any open or uncapped bore well, pit hole so that necessary preventive action can be taken. Police has also taken up the matter with the authorities of electric department for revisiting the electric lines as well as the placement of transformers and shuttle stations in and around Kishtwar town so that due to any lose arrangement no loss or injury is caused to human life and preventive action can be taken in advance.
