‘NC has failed youth workers’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 24: The youth leader of National; Conference is up against the party leadership. According to them, the party has failed the youth leaders and workers. The youth leaders said ‘love for the party’ was preventing them from deserting the party. “We have no respect in the party”, they made clear. Surinder Singh Bunty, who heads the youth wing (Jammu) said the minister shy away from the workers. “There is no coordination between the leaders and the workers”, he said adding “They (leaders) have forgotten the sacrifices offered by the youth leaders and workers.” Singh said Omar Abdullah always remains busy and Dr Farooq prefers to stay in New Delhi. “Where shall we go with our problems”, he lamented. Some workers tried to disrupt Singh’s speech. However, a worker from Kishtwar intervened and urged others to allow people voice their concern. Mohinder Singh Charak, said the party had no representation in the district. Nobody supports the workers and nobody hears the grievances of the workers”, he said. Nobody from Reasi, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri and Reasi took part in the one day convention, Charak said. “This reflects their disillusionment with the party”, he said. He also accused the senior leaders of suppressing the youth leaders and workers.
