KISHTWAR, June 24: After name of Kamal Yadwani, a close aide of underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim surfaced in the much published Bollywood actress Laila Khan's mysterious disappearance case, Anti Terrorist Squad Mumbai today quizzed Dawood's him about his relationship with missing Bollywood starlet.
Sources said that during his questioning, Kamal Yadwani expressed ignorance about marriage of his son Sonu @ Wufi Khan with starlet. Yadwani informed the ATS that his son is presently in gulf since last three years and he has no contact with him. Sources said that after preliminary questioning of Kamal Yadwani by ATS Mumbai last night, the investigating agencies let him to go home.
Sources said that ATS Mumbai will call him (Yadwani) again once the ATS will get legal custody of Parvaiz Iqbal Tak presently in Kishtwar police custody. The reliable sources
confirmed to Early Times that Kamal Yadwani has no good relationships with his Muslim wife.
Intelligence sources said that Kamal Yadwani remain in jail for several years over his alleged relationships with India's most wanted fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. Sources said that in case the need arises, ATS Mumbai will ask Kamal Yadwani to call back his son Sonu @ Wufi Khan to India for questioning in connection with mysterious disappearance case involving Laila Khan.
Earlier Rakesh Sawant, director of Laila Khan debut film "Waffa" also claims that ATS Mumbai questioned him about missing actress links with terror groups like Lashker-e-Toiba. While confirming the news item published in Early Times since last two days, Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary said that Parvaiz Iqbal Tak who married Laila's mother Saleena Khan informed the police during questioning that missing Bollywood starlet Laila Khan is alive and has fled to Dubai using a fake passport.
Chowdhary also confirmed that as per the confessional statement of Tak, Laila Khan married to one Sonu. "We don't have any knowledge about individual Sonu whose name
surfaced during Tak's questioning-we have informed our Mumbai counterpart about the same and it was Mumbai police to investigate about Sonu." Abrar Chowdhary said.
He said that if Tak's statement could be believed, missing starlet is alive and has fled out of the country. He said once Mumbai police and ATS will reach Kishtwar the things will get clear. Chowdhary said that it is not clear when the actress married to Sonu and under what circumstance she and her family left the country is a matter of investigation.
Tak a resident of Nali Bhunzwah of Kishtwar District before marry Laila Khan's mother is married twice once with a Kashmiri lady and another one is identified as Tasleema Butt of Kishtwar who had three children's from her wedlock with Tak. ATS Mumbai in order to take legal custody of arrested Tak is in the process of securing of Tak's arrest warrant from a local CJM court of Maharashtra by tomorrow.
ATS decision of securing arrest warrant from local court comes in wake of refusal from Jammu and Kashmir police to handover Tak's custody without following any legal
procedure. The sources said that once ATS Mumbai will secure arrest warrant of Tak from local court by tomorrow, team of ATS Mumbai will leave for Kishtwar to quiz Tak and to secure his custody. Tak who was arrested on Thursday by Kishtwar police from Jammu is presently on 7 days police remand on court order.
Meanwhile Kishtwar police is presently under lot of stress after two high profile cases viz Delhi High Court blast and Laila Khan mysteries disappearance case involving national and internal dimensions with terror links knocks the doors of this hilly District of Jammu and Kashmir. The sources said that keeping in view of the national security interest, despite lack of main power in newly created District, the officials of Kishtwar police is in no mood to show any leniency while investigating both the case as the investigation is directly linked with the national security as a result of which there is lot of pendency of local case laying with Kishtwar police. While the three accuse in Delhi HC blast are still at large, the Laila's mystery and her link with underworld Don has not only gives sleepless night to Kishtwar police, but also to the people of Kishtwar district.
