| 3 days seminar organised by Ananda Margis | | | Early Times Report
DODA, June 25: As a part of three day seminar programme of Ananda Marga, a symposium on the topic, "Economic Democracy based on spirituality" was held.
Amar Nath Bhagat DFO was the chief guest and O P Rao, Retd Lecturer was the guest of honour while R L Rao, Retd Chief Education officer presided over the function.
The main speaker was Acharya Priya tosha nanda Ava dhuta, a senior monk of the organization.
The symposium was attended by nearly 200 Margis and large no. of people among the general public .
The summary of the ideas expressed by the learned speakers is that the political democracy which is prevalent in the world today is an out dated concept now.
P R Sarkar the founder of Ananda Marga and the propounder of the socio-economic philosophy 'PROUT' says that political democracy has not only degenerated through out the world but is now basically an outdated mode of governance. It has led to a terrible wide gap between the haves ( the rich ) and the have nots ( the poor ) and also ushered in an era of exploitation, gross materialism and immorality. The remedy as per P R Sarkar lies in the spiritualization of the human society and then implementation of economic democracy based on spirituality. |
