| GDC, Bishnah organises poster making competition on blood donation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , June 25: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Bishnah organized a Poster Making Competition on the topic "Voluntary Blood Donation is a noble service to mankind and every blood donor is a hero" in collaboration with State Aids Prevention & Control Society. The competition was held under the guidance of Prof Archana Bakshi, Convener RRC and Finance Officer Prof Hardeep Kour in the presence of Prof Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the college.
15 students of RRC participated in the competition.
Earlier, the proceeding of the programme was initiated by Prof Archana Bakshi wherein, she motivated the students for voluntary blood donation and encouraged the students to save lives and improve the health of others; she also highlighted the need to regularly give blood to prevent shortages in hospitals and clinics.
Prof Hardeep Kour stressed on the theme of the World Blood Donor Day campaign 2012 that every blood donor is a hero, Prof Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the college encouraged the participants to donate blood to save humanity.
Rakesh Jamwal of B A Part -II, Sapna Saini & Seema Mottan of B A Part-I were adjudged 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively, whereas, Surinder, Raman & Abhilash bagged consolation prizes. Dr Vijay Sharma, Prof Sunita Gupta and Anshu Andotra were the judges on the occasion. |
