| Deputations call on Sham Lal | | Announces Ambulance for Pancheri | | Early Times Report
Jammu , June 25: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma today met various deputations and individuals at the Civil Secretariat.
Various deputations and individuals from Lathi, Basant Garh, Pancheri, Akhnoor, Chowki Chowra, R. S. Pura, etc met the Minister and apprised him with their demands and problems.
They deputations demanded uninterrupted supply of electricity and water, improvement in health care facilities and proper irrigation facilities to which the Minister assured that their genuine demands would be taken up on priority
A deputation of J&K Medical Employee Federation also called on the Minister and demanded regular DPC of employee and regularisation of pending contractual employees.
After threadbare discussion, the Minister assured to take up their demands with the concerned authority
The Minister also sanctioned an ambulance for Pancheri health centre. He said that Government is committed to improve the healthcare facilities and ensure that the health centres are equipped to cater to the needs of the patients
Earlier, the Minister also convened a meeting of officers to take stock of various developmental activities.
Sham said that the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken various initiatives for all round development of the state, with special focus on socio-economic upliftment of weaker section of the society. He said that to push forward the development process in rural areas the implementation of various flagship programmes are apace for upgrading infrastructure facilities.
Among others, MLA Smt. Vimla Luthra, District Development Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma, SSP Jammu, other senior officers besides Sarpanchs, Panch abd prominent persons were present on the occasion. |
