| Soz anguished over Dastgeer Sahab fire incident | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 26 : President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and Member Parliament Prof. Saifuddin Soz expressed anguish over the devastating fire that gutted the historic Shrine of Hazrat Shiekh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) popularly known in Kashmir as Hazrat Dastgeer Sahab.
Soz appealed people to allow the Government to investigate the cause of fire and place the facts before the people. He also appealed people to maintain calm and allow the process of restoration of the building housing the sacred relics as early as possible.
In this connection Prof. Soz said that it is heartening that peopled showed valor and the strength of their faith and ensured safety of the Holy Relics.
Prof. Soz today approached various Travel Agencies in Delhi and assured them that tourists in Kashmir were absolutely safe and told them not to cancel bookings with hotels and House Boats in Kashmir, a press statement from the PCC said. |
