| 4 days police remand for father of illicit child | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 25: Munsif court Kishtwar sent Babu Ram son of Munshi Ram resident of Hai Tagood to 4 days police remand after his name surfaced in kidnapping of a teenage girl namely Anita Devi who later delivered a male baby in District Hospital Kishtwar. After registration of FIR No: 37 at police station Chatroo U/S 366, 109 RPC, and rescuing the abducted girl, Kishtwar police launched hunt to trace the absconder Babu Ram and finally managed to arrest him from upper reaches of Tagood Kishtwar by the team of police post Dadpath led by ASI, Mohammad Iqbal. According to SHO Police Station Chatroo, Farooq Ahmed Khateeb, Babu Ram is already a married person and were having three children. He said that the recovered girl after delivering the baby was handed over to her family members and said that once the police received the medical report of the victim, police will convert section 366 into 376 RPC that already stands slapped against the accuse in registered FIR. Accused Babu Ram was arrested after 5 days of registration of an FIR by Chatroo police. |
