Awareness rallies mark Intl Day against Drug Abuse | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 26 : Over three hundred students drawn from various governmental and private educational institutions of the town carrying banners and placards on ill effects of drugs like "Say No to Drugs", "Leave Drugs Save Life", "Give Me Hug Not Drug" etc marched through the main locations of the town Udhampur and finally culminated at Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex. The District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, P.K Pole accompanied with Senior Superitendent of Police, Askhor Wani formally flagged off the rally from Mini Stadium Udhampur. The rally was organized by Department of Drugs and Food Control Organisation in collaboration with the Department of Information and Education. The District Chemist and Drug Association Udhampur also extended their supports to make the rally a success. Similarly, an awareness rally on the ill effects of drugs was also organized at Reasi. Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Mrs, Nirmal Sharma flagged off the rally from the DC Office Complex which marched through the main locations of the bazaar and finally culminated at the same point of start.The rally was organized by Food and Drug Control Organization, Reasi in which district officers with staff, NGOs, Chemist Association Reasi and locals of the town participated in the rally.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, S. Rajinder Singh Tara, Tehsildar, Gopal Singh, Drug Inspector Reasi were also present on the occasion. |
