| CM’s efforts to develop Bhaderwah as a tourist destination lauded | | | BHADARWAH, FEB1 Hailing efforts of the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to develop the hitherto neglected areas of the State, Naresh Gupta senior Congress leader and PCC executive has said that sanctioning of Bhadarwah Development Authority would go a long way in development of the area as an important tourist destination in the State. In a press statement issued here today, the Congress leader blamed all the successive governments in the state for ignoring the area, popularly known as ‘ Chota Kashmir.’ Opening ‘Chota Kashmir,’ bounded with snow capped mountains and scenic splendors, to the local and foreign tourists would help boost the economy of the locals apart from providing gainful employment to the educated unemployed youth of the area, he said. Gupta said that Azad through his credible approach has won the hearts and minds of the people of this far flung area and created a history, which will be written in golden letters. He further praised Azad for setting up University campus at Bhaderwah and said that it would go a long way to meet the academic needs of the students, who otherwise had to go to Jammu or Srinagar for pursuing their further studies. The Congress leader lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister to provide transparent, responsive and corruption free administration to the people of the state. He appealed to the people to strengthen the hands of dynamic Chief Minister who is determined to bring new heights and all round progress and development of all the regions of the state.
