Ashoora, the day of great sacrifice and bravery given by the grand sons of prophet Mohammad (saw0 for the cause of man kind, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and fraternity at universal level, is a guiding force for all people of the world and is celebrated every year to remind the teachings of Imam-Aalia-Muqaum, Imam Hussain (AS) and to follow the path of righteousness and bravery.
This was stated by the vice president of the Anjuman-Islamia Bhaderwah Abdul Hafeez Khateeb here today at a function organized at historical Jamia Masjid here. He said that the Maharram brings a message of high character and caliber and makes us strong to live a pious and decent life.
Meanwhile. Kheer were also served to all participants on the occasion and about one thousand people participated and took part in special prayers.
Those who expressed their views on the occasion included Javed Iqbal Shorra, Ghulam Rasool Tak, Moulana Zuber, Ahsan Ahmeda and Imam Jamia Masjid.
