| Omar rightly visits Dastgeer Sahib but what about Amarnath shrine? | | |

jammu, June 26: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a rightful manner cut short his trip to London to arrive in Srinagar and visited the holy shrine which was gutted in fire on Monday.
Omar by doing had not only shown respect to much revered shrine but also to the sensitivity of the people and also to the chair.
However, the same CM hadn't ever once visited the Baltal or other base camps where thousands of Amarnath yatris are camping, complaining about mismanagement .
It's not much distance from Srinagar for CM, who had travelled till Leh by driving himself and even has the service of the state chopper at his disposal which had used to reach even SKICC and district hospital in the past.
Even though Governor, being head of Amarnath Shrine Board, has been regularly inspecting the arrangement, it was more imperative for the Omar Abdullah to had personally visited the site as he is elected head of the State, unlike Governor.
He has not only never visited the holy Amarnath even once during his three-year office but even didn't take pain to inspect the arrangement and hold meetings with the officers, which otherwise he is regularly doing so, though on other matter.
It seems, he is more interested in tourists than yatris . He had even asked tourists to have a ride of ballon, but didn't have any words of the yatris.
His only remarks about the Amarntath yatra had been advocating the statement of only 'holy' man suggesting that yatra couldn't be undertaken the earliest because of the bad weather. He had tweeted enough on this subjects.
The same CM had not made even a single tweet welcoming yatris, who also making economic contribution to the Kashmir like tourists, which brings
smiles on the face of Omar Abdullah.
It seems CM is deliberately trying to distance himself from the yatra because of the political connotation it(yatra) it has acquitted after 2008 Amarnath Land row.
In a passionate speech at the parliament Omar had (in)famously speech had said,"Kashmiris will not give even an inch of the land'.
These remarks made four-year back are enough to show how much importance Yatra holds for him and how equal are all regions and (religions) are to him.
