| Cong expresses shock over Dastgeer Sahib fire incident | | | early times report
jammu, June 27 : Expressing shock over the gutting of Dastgeer Sahib shrine at Khanyar, Srinagar and heavy damage caused to it, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) today demanded high level inquiry to find out the real cause of fire.
The demand was raised during a meeting of PCC presided over by its senior vice president Dharam Pal Sharma Addressing the meeting, Sharma expressed grief over the fire incident at historical Shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani RA.
Speaking on the occasion, PCC leaders asked the concerned authorities to initiate steps to repair the damaged holy shrine of Dastgeer Sahib. Prominent among those who spoke in the meeting were Thakur Hari Singh-Vice President, Mula Ram - former Minister, Shiv Dev Singh Ex-MLA, Hari Singh Chib and others. |
