BJP Beopar cell demands district status to Billawar

The office bearers of State BJP Beopar cell in a meeting held under the
Chairmanship of its President Kulbhushan Mohtra discussed the problems of the trading community of Billawar here today.
The meeting also vociferously demanded that the Bhilawar and Basholi tehsils should be carved out as a separate district, with Bhilawar as its headquarters.
Mohtra also demanded that the historical shrine of Sukrala Devi, in Bhilawar and pilgrim spots in Gujru Nagrota, popularly called as ‘Durga Puri’, should be brought on the pilgrim tourism map of the country, by providing adequate infrastructure and Vaishno Devi pilgrims motivated and encouraged to visit these pilgrim spots also.
It was further demanded that that the goods transported to Billawar and other areas of the tehsil by the local traders should be exempted from the toll tax at Lakhanpur, as is the case with Bani and Basholi traders.
The meeting among others was attended by Harinder Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Deepak Aagarwal, all Vice Presidents and Ashwani Sharma General Secretary.
