| JKDF protests against discriminatory policies | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 27: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) today held a protest demonstration to highlight demands of unemployed youths who are deprived of their right to get equal opportunities of earning their livelihood.
The protest demonstration was organized by youth wing of JKDF. Hundreds of youth workers chanting slogans took part in the demonstration, the protest was led by Rohit Kerni¸ (District General Secretary JKDF), Sukhpreet Singh (District Secretary) and Vikrant Sharma (Treasurer).
Protestors burnt effigy of state government to show their concern against growing unemployment among youth. Non-serious attitude of government to formulate concrete policy for minimizing the unemployment problem has been flayed by all in one voice. District President Youth Wing Jammu Munisth Khajuria who was also present on the occasion said, "Militants and Stone-pelters are being given jobs in the name of rehabilitation, but nationalist youth of Jammu are being deprived of their rights and equal opportunities in state government jobs.Prominent youth workers who took part in the protest included Jyoti Dogra, Ravi Mehra, Krishan Kapoor, Virender Singh, Naveen Sharma, Anil Balgotra, Sumit Dogra, Keshav Chopra, Munish Gupta, Raman Sharma, Harish Kumar, Gulshan Rattan, Vikram Sharma, Sunny Singh and Sumit Thakur. |
