Jammu, June 27: Meeting of Board of Administers of the Citizens Cooperative Bank Ltd. Jammu was held under the Chairmanship of Pardeep Gupta, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by members of the board namely Yasir Arafat Zarfar, KAS District Audit Officer Cooperative Societies Jammu, Th Chhatter Singh General Manager (Retd) Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. and Managing Director Ashok Goswamy who greeted the Divisional Commissioner on his first meeting of the Board of Administrators after taking over as Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
During the meeting the chairperson Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta was apprised of the latest position of the bank and the activities being undertaken. Board of Administrators decided to expedite the process of computerization under Core Banking Solutions (CBS) to compete in the market with other Bank and provide better services to the customers like Online Banking.
It was decided to make two branches of the bank namely R.S. Pura and Gangyal functional in modern state of art infrastructure by July 2012. Under OTS Scheme bank has settled 151 loan cases of an aggregate settlement amount of Rs. 304.25 lakh. Board exhorted upon the borrowers/members who are eligible under OTS Scheme to take benefit of OTS which is operational upto to 30th of June 2012 and was decided that at no cost the OTS Scheme shall be extended further.
In loans and advances, loan proposals of different borrowers of an aggregate amount of Rs. 35.25 lacs were also sanctioned. Besides, directions were also issued to work dedicatedly and redouble their efforts for recoveries in NPAs, to improve credit portfolio of the bank and moblise the deposits and disbursement of fresh loans to increase the business portfolio of the bank and achieve the targets already fixed by the bank. |
