| State Human Rights member visits district Jail, Jammu, Kotbalwal | | 'Asks authorities to take care of HR in jail' | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 28 : Member of J&K State Human Rights Commission Amolik Singh visited District Jail Jammu and Central Jail Kotbalwal today and took on spot assessment of situation, prevailing in two Jails.
Singh impressed upon the Jail authorities to take special care of Human Rights of inmates of the Jail and safeguard and respect the human rights of these inmates. He impressed upon both the Superintendents of the jails that the facilities as provided under jail manual to various categories of inmates must be strictly adhered to.The Commission further stressed upon Jail authorities to ensure presence of under trails to their respective Courts on the scheduled dates as fixed by the Court.
He asserted that non production of these under trails to their respective courts on one pretext or other delays, the final disposal of cases for which the member has taken serious note of. |
