7 days training of ASHA facilitators begins | | | Early Times Report
KARGIL, June 29: Seven days training of ASHA facilitators on home based new born care (HBNC) comprising of 30 participants started at Tourism Dak Banglow Panikhar. The training was organized by J&K Rural Health Mission in coordination with Health and Family Welfare Department Kargil. 30 FMPHWs who have been designated as ASHA facilitators from various blocks of Kargil district were imparted intensive in house training on skill development regarding care of new born, home visit care for both mother and child. They were also imparted training on how to record the temperature, wrapping to prevent hypothermia in low birth weight and premature babies and weight skills. They have also given training on role and responsibilities as facilitators to monitor use of various funds under NRHM in respective areas, involvement of VHSCs members, functionality of ASHAs and ASHA Program in their respective areas. Communication capacity building skills of ASHA facilitators have also been enhanced. Training was facilitated by Sadiq Khan and Shahida Yaqoob. On the concluding day today, the valedictory function was chaired by Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil. On this occasion, CMO Kargil, Councilor Aga Syed Abbas, and other local residence were present. Addressing the Final Ceremony of this training CEC congratulated the trainers and trainees ( participants) for successful completion of training program and stressed upon the ASHA facilitators to work with zeal and dedication and bring revolutionary change at grass root level in the health setup including proper implementation of JSY, JSSK (Maa tujhe Salaam) and ASHA programs. |
