| Rangshala staged "Haadsa - Haqeeqat" in Dogri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 29: Rangshala Theatre Group of Society (regd.), Jammu today under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi staged Dogri Play "Haadsa : Haqeeqat" at Performing Arts Studio, Jammu under the able direction of Umesh Singh. Production is the outcome of thirty days theatre workshop in which students of different ages participated and they were trained according to their ability. Some were interested in back stage work and some of them were fond of acting. During workshop lectures by the Mentors delivered like Dr. Kamal Sharma an Make-up expert shared the tips of stage make-up. Janak Raj Sharma shared the tips of choreography. Play "Haadsa : Haqeeqat" originally written in Hindi by renowned theatre actor/Director/Playwiright Vikram Sharma. Umesh Singh translated the play in mother tongue Dogri which was highly liked by the presentees.
The play Hadsa Haqeqat revolves around four characters. Every character is equally connected to each other but are having different mind-set. The central character Rahul Sinha is totally disturbed because of his profession and is having thoughts about his previous life. He is looking for something but when he comes across it, he is totally lost and is in state of broken identity. His father Dharam Pal Sinha is not actually his father for real but he's the illegal son of one Shekhar Gupta. The later has ditched sinha's and grabbed all the property of formers'. Shekhar has also illegal relations with Rahul's mother, Malti Sinha.
Same is the case with Divya Sinha who formerly used to be Rahul's beloved has now become his wife. Rahul gets shocked when he comes to know about his real father and then splits up intwo personalities, the one who is right now and the other one of Shekhar Gupta. On seeing this multi dimensional identity of Rahul, Divya tries to bring him back to common life by telling him that he's going to become father soon. But Rahul doesn't seem to bother and says that he needs to find himself.
Divya gets confused as every member dies an unusual death. Getting frustrated a lot, Rahul also commits suicide. At last, she also changes herself and becomes the business magnate by carrying on the legacy of Malti Sinha as Maya Kapoor.
Himanshu Darshan best actor awardee of the State portrayed the character of Rahul Sinha Beautifully, Ritu Manhas as Maya Kapoor did very well, Sakshi Dogra as Divya Sinha did justice and Umesh Singh as Dharam Pal Sinha impressed.
Costumes Designed by Sunita K. Thakur, Set & Prop by Abhishek, Lights by Rakesh Mayus, Music was designed and directed by Raju Sylvester along with other musicians, Make- Up by Meenu Sharma Hall Management by Siddharth and Asif. Those who participated in the workshop were Naveen Sharma, Neelam Gupta, Tanvi Manhas, Rohit Gill, Nasir Ahmed, Baby Mattoo, Bhanu Singh, Kamal Manhas, Rahat, Kirti Gupta, Nilofer, Neeru Magotra Kanika Gupta, Surinder Ghayal, Ajay Chib etc.
Mohan lal Gupta General Secretary of RTGS presented vote of thanks. He thanked especially the parents of the children who allowed their wards during such kind of scorching heat.
